For customers in the United Kingdom, the cost of your purchase can be spread over three equal installments — taken every 30 days, with the first made straight away — or you can choose to pay up to 30 days later. With pay later, you can try before you buy, and only pay for what you keep. No interest or fees when you pay on time. Klarna's Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. US: pay later, in four installments
For customers in the United States, the cost of your purchase will be spread over four equal installments to the account entered at the checkout. Your first payment will be made when your order is confirmed, the next three payments are automatically made every two weeks after your first payment or every 15 days for California residents. There is a limit of $1,500 total purchase value. CA resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California Finance Lenders’ Law license. DACH regions: pay straight away
For customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium, Klarna Pay Now applies to orders up to 5,000 EUR/CHF. The cost of your purchase will process as an immediate direct bank transfer, allowing you to select your bank and log in with your own online banking details.

Is there a fee to use interest-free installments?

Will Klarna perform a credit check?
For UK customers, when you use Pay in 3 installments, Klarna will perform a credit search. This means Klarna will look at certain information in your credit report to decide whether to approve your purchase. For US customers, when you choose the installment method, Klarna may carry out a soft credit search with the credit reference agencies who supply Klarna with credit information. These do not affect your credit score and are only visible to you and Klarna, but are not visible to other lenders.
