March 26 is Nike Air Max Day, a celebration of the iconic sneaker (first designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1987, and weirdly, inspired by a milk jug handle) that changed the way the world thought about kicks.
This year, Nike has some very special drops to coincide with Air Max Day. Deep breath...this is serious sneakerhead territory: We’ve already seen the Air VaporMax Plus, Air Max 180 Ultramarine, Air Max 93 Menthol and new colourways in the Air Max 270 (these drop tomorrow, on March 2).
The 270s will have the biggest heel bag yet, and will be the closest thing to actually walking on air that Nike has ever produced. Additionally, the Nike Air VaporMax 97, Nike VaporMax Flyknit 2.0 and Air Max 1/97 Vote Forward SW will also be released during the lead up to Air Max Day.
